Sports

Sport is a very important part of Liverpool Dental School, especially when playing other dental schools. This October we will host the 2010 BDSA National Sports Day and last year we hosted the Northern Dental sports day last year, with dental schools from Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds, descending on us in aim of taking the title of ‘Best Dental School’ which takes into account their sporting success on the day, and general drinking and banter throughout the day and evening!!!!
“Sport courses through my veins more viscous than blood does. In fact, my red blood cells carry more sportoglobin than haemoglobin. That’s probably why I’m the best sports star in the world. Ever.
Leaving arrogance aside, I play(ed) plenty of sports; squash and football being my main two. I also used to play cricket for my local town as well as the local table football (foozball) champion – or so I like to believe.
I play at right back, and just like Man. United’s Rafael, I’m better at attacking
than I am at defending. I even chipped in with a rare goal (bit like Gary Neville)
in a 3-
As you can probably guess with my references to United, I am a United fan. And no, it’s not risky being a United fan in Liverpool – in fact, it’s fun.”
